Recommend at least 5 years supervisory/management experience

The 2-day Management Systems Auditing course is the prerequisite for the Lead Auditor Training. Students who successfully complete both course requirements will be awarded the BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set.

Nationally recognised competencies are:

  • BSBAUD511 Initiate Quality Audits

  • BSBAUD512 Lead Quality Audits

The Management Systems Auditing course is a pre-requisite for this course.

Online fee: $1650 per person

In-person fee: $1850 per person

Building upon the Management Systems Auditing course, this advanced training develops the expertise required to lead audits, manage audit teams, and interact with a range of stakeholders, including certification or regulatory bodies. This course provides practical experience in leading audits and handling complex auditing scenarios with a focus on leadership and management of an audit.

This course is suitable for those who wish to conduct team based internal audits, second-party audits on suppliers and contractors, or third-party audits on behalf of regulators or certification bodies. It is also ideal for any auditor who would like further support in refining their audit skills, or wish to deepen their knowledge and build confidence.

The course follows the requirements of AS/ISO 19011 which is an Australian and International guideline used to control any type of management system audit.

Course Objectives This course aims to provide students with the skills & knowledge to:

  • Understand and apply the management system standards auditing requirements

  • Conduct audits in accordance with audit guidelines & standards (AS/ISO 19011 & AS/ISO 17021)
  • Apply and manage auditor & lead auditor responsibilities

  • Develop audit plans, schedules in the context of 2nd & 3rd party audits

  • Prepare audit tools, checklists and audit reports

  • Conduct professional opening & closing meetings and related communications

  • Apply and use the Lead Auditors Pocket Guide

This course finishes earlier on the last day.

Delivery Options

We offer two delivery modes to choose from: Online or in-person (F2F).

Our online sessions are facilitated via Zoom and class numbers are limited to ensure all students have the best opportunity to engage with our educators and fellow attendees. If you are new to online learning, please contact us so we can work with you during this transition.

Please Note: We are not currently running public courses from our Melbourne venue due to the popularity and accessibility for our clients across Australia and New Zealand. However, we have recommenced on-site in-house training for our clients.
